Where are Dressmaker save files?

On Windows, Dressmaker saves under your user folder in AppData\LocalLow, in the folder named after the developer or game; paste `%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow` into the Explorer address bar to get there, because AppData is hidden by default. On Mac, saves sit in ~/Library/Application Support/com.Unity-Technologies.com.unity.template.urp-blank; in Finder press Cmd+Shift+G and paste that path. The odd Mac folder name is a Unity default the build shipped with. The game supports Steam Cloud, so saves also sync between computers, but some players hit a Steam Cloud quota warning. Before changing anything, copy the whole folder somewhere safe. Restore by closing the game and copying the folder back. Back up and restore

  1. Quit Dressmaker completely.
  2. Open the folder above and copy it to another drive or a cloud folder.
  3. To restore, quit the game, paste the folder back and allow it to replace files.
  4. If Steam asks which save to keep, pick the one with the newer date you expect.

Steam Cloud quota or conflict warnings

Some players see a Steam Cloud quota or sync conflict message. Back up the local folder first. Then, in Steam, right-click Dressmaker → Properties → General and toggle Steam Cloud off and on, or choose the local copy when asked. If it repeats, report it in the official bug thread with your build number.

+Is there New Game Plus?

No New Game+ has been announced. Starting over means a new save.

+Will mods break my save?

Possibly. Back up the folder before installing the Nexus mod loader or any mod.
