How do I get 100% quality in Dressmaker?
Quality is built from three parts: how well pattern pieces follow the fabric grain, how closely the dress fits the client's measurements, and how cleanly you sew. Sewing carries the most weight, so a slow, careful seam pays more than perfect grain. Off-rack dresses need no fit, which makes them a forgiving way to practise.
- Grain ≈ 30% of quality
- Fit ≈ 20%
- Sewing ≈ 50%
- Weights are player reports, not official

Questions players ask
+How is quality worked out in Dressmaker?
Players report roughly 30% grain, 20% fit and 50% sewing. The developers have not published the formula, so treat the result as an estimate; the game's own score is the final word.
+What lowers quality the most?
Sewing, by the reported weights: a sloppy seam costs more than a slightly off grain. Slow down on curves and use zoom. See the 100% quality guide.
+Does quality change the price?
Yes. Off-rack offers scale with quality, so a 100% dress sells for noticeably more than a 70% one made from the same fabric.
+How do I fix grain?
Rotate pieces so the grain arrows on the pattern run along the fabric's grain before cutting. The fabric guide explains grain and the 10 m display quirk.
